Akela Lynn - ASDR Toy Australian Shepherd
Akela possesses exceptional athleticism, intelligence, and affection. These traits make her an ideal companion for our family. She is capable of performing impressive tricks and exhibits remarkable agility, making her an excellent adventurer.
While Akela is highly energetic, she maintains a balanced temperament and can adjust her energy levels accordingly. This adaptability is a desirable trait in a breed known for its high drive.
Furthermore, Akela demonstrates emotional intelligence and affection. These combined traits, which are consistently passed on to her offspring, result in an exceptional, well-balanced, and enjoyable companion.
Lastly, as you can discern by her beautifully painted coat, Akela is a harlequin blue merle with deep copper-toned points and unique Irish ticking.
Nova - ASDR Mini Australian Shepherd
Nova holds a special place in our hearts, as she was born and raised right here at Copper Lane by Nala and Mowgli, an exceptional pairing. We were irresistibly drawn to retaining a puppy from this cross and ultimately chose Nova for several reasons, with her temperament being the most significant. Nova is exceptionally affectionate and prefers a slower pace compared to most Australian Shepherds, a trait we highly admire and aspire to replicate in her offspring. Additionally, Nova’s striking appearance, characterized by her dark copper tones and calming blue eyes, is truly captivating.
Nova resides in a guardian home with the Williams Family.
Mocha - AKC Miniature Poodle
Mocha, a rare and precious find, was born and raised right here at Copper Lane by Birdie and Baloo. She was part of the Country Club Mini Poodle Litter born on March 4th, 2024, and her previous name was Augusta. We were captivated by her outgoing and playful temperament, so we decided to keep her. Mocha’s stress resilience shines through in all challenging situations, and she’s incredibly human-focused, maintaining her focus even in public spaces.
In addition to her remarkable temperament, Mocha’s health panel is entirely clear. She’s also considered “high intensity” due to her deep red coat. This is because she carries a gene called the “Rufus” gene, which causes her coat to deepen over time instead of fading, a trait shared by most poodles.
Mocha is currently residing in a guardian home with the Hartman Family.
Nala - ASDR Miniature Australian Shepherd
Nala is the dog I often refer to as my soul dog or heart dog. She is incredibly special to me. She is one of the sweetest and most affectionate dogs I have ever known. She’s emotionally intelligent and offers support in numerous ways and she maintains politeness when grabbing your attention by gentle placing her paw on you and “waiting” for you to focus on her. Nala carries over these sweet, gentle and loving traits into motherhood as she is the very best mom of all of the ladies here. She enjoys being a momma and loves her puppies so well. We always receive such incredible feedback on her puppies indicating these same traits are being inherited by her offspring.
Cozy - F1 Cuddle Cavapoo
Cozy is a puppy retained from Birdie’s Autumn Mornings Litter, born on September 15, 2024. We retained her for several reasons, the most significant being her remarkable resilience during exposure activities and her exceptional progress throughout our curriculum. We were particularly impressed by her qualities and envisioned the incredible puppies she could potentially produce for other families.
Cozy is genetically a rare find, as she possesses a red coat but tests as merle, often referred to as “hidden merle.” She is also phantom and inherits the “Rufus” gene from her mother, Birdie, which causes their red coat to deepen over time rather than fading, as is common in poodles. Cozy also inherited her mother’s icy blue eyes.
We eagerly anticipate Cozy’s future here at Copper Lane and look forward to sharing her motherhood journey with you in the near future.
